Ok, this is kinda awkward, typing between 2 pictures...at least that is what the draft form is making me believe...

Anyways, haven't updated in half a month, which is really odd since I have a ton of time to do it...I was just too lazy, haha.

So I'm starting to stitch the 2nd tree trunk, I'm surprised at how different the picture looks once I added the light grey/light grey blue combo thread to the left side of the trunk.

So, I did most of the tree trunk. Took me forever, but it looks cool....so yea. :)

I'm gonna go stitch birdie #2 now! How many birdies will there be? ;)

Stitching while watching soccer is awesomeness... best part is, if I missed watching a goal because I had my eyes on my needle, there's always replay >:] (Go Spain!)

The birdie is so cute, except I have never seen a bluebird with a yellow tummy before...

So the picture on the top is when I finished cross-stitching. The one of the bottom is after I added the finishing touches (bird's eyes and pine needles). The finishing touches are actually the most time-consuming things. The problem is that I had everything nice and tight when it was tightened on the loom, but once I take it off, the cloth loosens so the threads were all saggy and stuff. D: Had to redo it, grrr... The bird's eyes french knots, which I find to be quite fun to make :D

came a long way

I gotta say, I find this one much more fun to stitch than my previous project. There weren't enough color changes in my previous one. This one uses a lot of different colors to get the different shades to blend together to get this awesome effect. But I need to change threads a lot, but it's still fun nonetheless. I would've never thought that the color blue could be used to stitch a tree trunk.

I also officially lost my 3rd needle (or was it my 4th...I'm not keeping track anymore) in the car.

new project

I finished my previous cross-stitch thing with the branches and the bird, so here I am with another one. The cloth for this one is really stiff and rigid, unlike the previous one where it was floppy and stuff. So I won't be using that loom thing because this one will really leave marks.
I lost my 3rd needle yesterday. Fortunately, I found it on my bed while I was looking :)

and on a side note..

i lost me 2nd needle, and it's in my room somewhere. The first one i lost in the car, never to be found again. and this one is in my room, lurking to get me!!

Seriously...I don't know where it is, and i kinda hope it stays that way..hopefully not in a place i would step/sit/sleep on.

so....I haven't updated this in a while, i think because im WAY ahead of this picture. I'm almost done with the bird to tell you the truth...

totally messed up on the white part of the top right branch, added 2 extra stitches that threw me totally off...so i had to take all the stitches out to redo it...took me the whole morning to take them out, quite a pain. DX

So Susie, I'm happy to say...ILL BE DONE BEFORE YOUR BIRTHDAY! :D

I made a lot of progress this month. Although my threads got tangled a lot and i lost my needles a few times, life is good. I just hope i finish this soon, im starting to get tired of stitching leaves...

I haven't updated this in a while...was too lazy to take a picture and such. Enjoying my time stitching whilst I watch TV...don't have much time for that either nowadays....except maybe weekends. I was in the middle of stitching something...so the thread is just hanging there XD
I messed up on this one stitch...used the wrong color, but you'll never know. Rats, i just told you...but you won't be able to find it!! >:]

after spring break!

i sure got a lot stitched over break! :D watching jdramas and stuff is really helpful! before i knew it, i got a lot done! so i watched a large portion of liar game, started a few episodes of my girl (i was so happy hearing arashi's song as the theme song...it never gets old XD). then i decided to have a fraiser marathon...didn't get all 11 seasons in, stopped in the middle of season 3. it's hilarious!! XD

before spring break!

so i managed to do a lot over the weekend, but i plan to do a lot more during the break. :D im barely halfway done though...haha. maybe i'll stitch while watching tv and jdramas. XD liar game is really good. seeing if i can manage to watch some of maou (with ohno!!), but maou is kinda...dark? haha ^^; oh, and i need to do hw, of course!

oh, i lost a needle in the car yesterday. i was switching between threads and next thing i know, the needle was gone. never did find it, which is a good thing...kinda. at least i wont stab myself when i sit down XD

i have decided to not keep it compressed under books anymore. it flattens out the stitches and doesn't look as good. the colors also isn't as bright.

my 5-day weekend is here!

oh boy...i haven't updated this in a while, i was too lazy. XD let's see how much i can stitch over the 5-day weekend. Seeing my slow progress, i don't know if i can even finish this over the summer. ;-.-'
